Now that the VAT quarter is nearly complete again, the upcoming VAT period is becoming our main focus. During this period, our colleagues will prepare the VAT return while at the same time finalising your administration.

It is essential that all required information is provided completely and on time, so that we can submit an accurate VAT return. The sooner your administration is complete, the earlier we can begin our review and the more efficiently we can finalise the quarterly closing.

What do we need from you

This means concretely:

• Purchase invoices
• Sales invoices
• Receipts for small expenses (please clearly indicate how these should be recorded or allocated)
• Bank and credit card statements

To process the VAT returns on time, we kindly ask you to review your administration and upload the necessary information during the first week of the VAT month. In particular, missing purchase invoices can have a negative impact on the final VAT amount.

Please note: Any information we receive after the 20th of the upcoming month can unfortunately no longer be included in the VAT return for the next quarter and will therefore be carried forward to the VAT return for the current quarter. As a result, it may take longer before reclaimed VAT can be offset, which may have an impact on cash flow.

In summary: please ensure that your administration is complete no later than the 15th of the upcoming month and submit documents and questions via Exact. This allows us to file your VAT return accurately and on time.
